VF 750R in Beijing, China

Took delivery of my VF 750R today here in Beijing.

I'm trying to determine her exact age.

Can anyone help decode a 12 digit engine VIN #RC07E-1018213?

Also, what is the difference between the VF 750F and the VF 750R?

Looks like an RC30 to me made 1987-1990. If that is one you own you are a very lucky chap.

 

Just took possession today. My mechanic is going to take her apart, give me a shopping list of items I'll need, and put her back when ready. A journey of a thousand miles start with the first step, and I feel like I've just taken that step ...

 

Hold on, which pics are your bike? The upper or lower set of pics. The top appears to be a pre '86 VF750F and the pics below look like and RC30. BIG differences between the two.

We need the frame number to tell you what is up with the bike.

 

I can't see the video at work so I'll assume the upper set of pics is the one you are in posession of. Like apittslife said, 83-85 VF750F.

 

Many thx. Confirm it's the upper photos. I loaded the bottom ones by mistake, and tried to delete but they seem stuck.

Anyway, the frame VIN is RC15 - 1006529.

The paint on the bike looks original as does the lettering. As such, what's the difference between the 750F and the 750R?

im diggin that look with those fairings. gaps are kinda big but it matches the bike
