If Spies doesn't pick up his game, he could find himself out of a job. Two 11th-place finishes and an 8th? WTF? I thought he was better than that.

Casey himself said having his child wasn't a factor, though in a later statement, he said it did make it easier. There is a great article just posted over at MotoMatters that does a great job of summing it up. Frankly, I've never been a big Stoner fan, and I've always thought he was a little thin skinned so to speak, like he couldn't take the criticism, but at the end of the day, if you don't enjoy it, and it just ain't there no more, it's time to hang up the helmet.

He can go home and race V8's and have fun, and he'll be happy. Reminds me of hearing Matt Mladin's commentary during the last AMA races, and when they showed him on camera, he was chubby, which was hilarious, but he also looked relieved, happier than I had seen him in many, many years.

I left my last job because my new boss literally made me physically ill just thinking about going to work, it wasn't worth it for me, so even though I'm not a fan, I'll give Casey a pass on this one; it would be hypocritical of me to do anything else.

That's a fact. He doesn't get his head screwed on straight, he may not finish the year...

Yet another bad race by Spies still wondering what's wrong with him this season but it was an excellent race by Rossi, hopefully he's got some of his Mojo back and it's not just a one off assisted by rain...

Spies pulled into the pits, because his visor was fogging... REALLY? At this point in his career, he has visor fogging issues, in a MotoGP race, with his career on the line? REALLY?

Seriously, I think he's got something going on off track, mentally or in his personal life or something; this just doesn't pass the sniff test.

I think with Rossi it is just the rain thing; everything I read says the Duc is fantastic in the rain, for unknown reasons. I think some kind of complex combination of Stoner announcing his retirement and this finish picking up the team spirits and Rossi's ego, may help things along, so he may start doing better, but we'll see if they make enough improvements to him to even consistently finish in the top 5 in the dry...

Strangely to me, I'm in agreement with Rossi's assessment of what loosing Stoner means to the series. I was actually kinda melancholy after the race, missing the days of The Aliens up there dicing it up, race after race. The combination of so many of the other series suburb racing action at the front, and the distinct lack of it in MotoGP, actually has me a little worried about my favorite sport. I sure don't see Marquez as the next Alien, and it wasn't that long ago people were saying when Spies gets there, he'd join the Aliens, and we all know how that has gone...

MotoGP is in a state of transition, and I kinda wish they'd just tear the bandaid off and jump to where they're going, vs. this slow, painful transition that's gonna take a couple years of this weird kinda moshup of racing...

Can someone guide me to one of those TeeVee sets that can read minds so I can post up all this inside stuff that I am just not getting on mine.

I hope it has a mute button for those two guys that scream at each other like twelve year old girls who think they have just seen Justin Beiber come on stage with his fly open. Little do they know that his mum dresses him like that on purpose.

Talking of Bathurst found this clip, it gives you the feel of what it would of been like going around the track on a bike.

I camp there for the Bathurst 1000 in 1994 had a great time was pretty wild back then, must of been even better in the 80s lol.

Well for a minute I was Happy Happy watchin Spies in second, then the pass-Holy shit---soo disapointing with Motogp-Always the same three at the front (except Rossi last week) AMA-YAWN--- the same old, same old.
Now Motogp2 is the shit- best class by far.

In the AMA the 600 class (Daytona Sport Bike) is also very good, and very close to the competitiveness of Moto-2.

Next VFR World gathering is Moto GP. Turn two suite tickets with Long, JTC, and Surfer. Should be a hoot.

Not sure what Vales closeness to Uccio has to do with his return to Yamaha, not that there's anything wrong with that...
