What RPM range do you cruise around in?

I recently purchased a 2008 VFR800 and am still getting used to it. I've been drving around between 4500 and 6000 RPM but was wondering what everyone else did.

 

Congrats on your purchase. For me, never less than 3500 (and that's usually if I just want to roll down a hill behind a slow driver), but most of my cruising is at 4500.

These bikes hate anything less than 3500-4000.

 

Ditto, I usually Run between 4000 & 5,500 RPM's.

 

I'm still getting used to my new ride, but I keep it under 4000 around my wee town.. exhaust is loud, trying not to piss off neighbours and police, around 5k everywhere else.

 

I don't know what RPM, I keep it in the highest gear without it bogging.
