Hi, Everyone. New project (97 VFR 750) conversion to CBR fairings.

    vfr1.jpg
    Hello everyone,
I have just bought a VFR from a friend for $100 and am very excited to get to working on it b/c i have not had a bike since 08! I have seen many conversion to CBR fairings and LOVE the look!! So this is my plan as of now..Only thing i know the bike needs is a little maintenance ( has been sitting for a while), like new fuel lines and a new front tire..oil change...and Im sure I'll find some other things it needs. My question though is, does anyone know what year CBR fairings match up to the 96 VFR? Any help will be greatly appreciated!! I will post pic's as I go once I get started.
    Thanks -Smiddy

I'm picking it up tomorrow and I'll post Pic's afterwards. But pic's or not my question still remains... Anyone know what CBR Fairings will fit a 96 VFR ???????? Im trying to pre-order them and dont know which ones to get? I know its either 03-04 or 05-06 ..well i believe. And yes Im getting it for $100! Its been sitting in their basement for 6 months now. Just an answer to my question would be great,...thanks.

I don't understand the concept here... you want to take one of the more distinctive bikes of its time and make it look like something it's not?
Reminds me of when I worked in a shop and traded in my '03 VFR for the first Superhawk when it came out... some kid purchased it and brought it in a week later, complete with a freshly-gutted TBR carbon exhaust I'd installed, and wanted to return it because it didn't sound like his buddy's CBR900RR.
    What am I missing here?

I agree that it makes it look like a cbr but anyone that knows bikes will be able to tell very quickly that it is not. plus I think Im going to keep the rear and the side exhaust now that I have done more research. Plus there just easier to find and cheaper. But I understand your opinion.
