I just noticed, well just decided to ask actually, what this "rubber band" is for? It doesn't seem to do anything, maybe like a spare if you break down, haha :flame: It's on a 95 under the seat.

    :peace: Ride on

It's supposed to hold down the tool kit. I think it supposed to go front to back & not side to side.

    KC-10 FE out...

There must be something else missing then. I see the hook to hook it in the front but there is nothing else to hook it too.

My 95 had one of those, just like yours from side to side. I couldn't figure a real use for it, so it took it off. Mine didn't come with a user manual and I assumed it was to hold it. It sure wouldn't do anything for the tools that I could figure out.

LOL, Ok, its to hold down a krypton bike lock, back then, those where the locks to have, so Honda molded in the space there to be able to keep it under the seat, the rubber band is to hold it in place. owner manual goes up on the little flat area to the rear, tool pouch goes down in a slot where yours is. I use it to hold a small cargo net in place

I actually have the Kryptonite lock in mine that predates my VFR by several years.
I started to have hair growing from my ears too.
    Scarrrrrrry!
