I bought a 2007 Anniversary last month and got to know it pretty well on the ride home from Rhode Island to North Carolina. I stripped it down and have been modding since. I'm almost done with the first round and can't wait to get it back on the road to see how it feels.

    Today

I've done the suspension and brakes, some electrical, and some scattered others while waiting for parts. I need to/will get motivated and post some of it!
My other bike is an 06 Honda 599 that I got last year. I love it and it's great for local rides, but the VFR is way better on the highway, with it's weight and all that pretty plastic! Speaking of plastic, I'm planning a color scheme makeover, but don't have the heart to paint over the RWB parts. I've got a tank at a shop getting de-dented and am trying to contact a member here about a fairing set. Not sure exactly what I'm going to do, but planning it is half the fun.:mod:

I've been reading around the site and soaking it all in. You guys are an accomplished bunch of VFR fanatics! Looking forward to getting to know you and talking bikes!

Way to get some pics up on your first post, FNG.

I'm guessing you want to paint it yellow since everyone knows that's the fastest color, but even I, owner of a 5th Gen yellow, would be hard pressed to paint that beautiful RWB color scheme. Your money, your bike, but I hope you keep it the way it is.

I don't know if we sell beer, or if we just trade beer for the different jobs or advice that one member provides for another.

    welcome, congrats on the purchase

Is there reason to paint over the RWB? does it have some damage? don't know if I could do that personally

If he paints over the RWB I will consider this posting closed for such a crime.

I wouldn't destroy that classic paint! The RWB parts will be lovingly put away (or sold) for another day when I want BLUE on my bike. Just me, but I don't care for blue cars either. Who knows, maybe it's the black wheels. I might keep it the way it is once the white ones are on.:noidea:
