Hey folks I've just purchased a 91 vfr 750 in pretty good nick for what i'm paying for her. i'm picking her up next weekend and can't wait there's a couple thing need doin. For starters this is not my first bike, nore my third, i built my own honda cb-1 from two that were not in great nick so i'd like to say i know my way around a bike. First off how ever i am going to need a Honda service manual. i will be purchasing a Haynes manual as soon as i can get around to it but untill then i would like a copy of the service manual for night time reading if anyone has a PDF that I could download? next is the Fairing, there are a few very slight cracks and two missing clips from the front right hand fairing and the rear cowl. does anyone know of a good second hand supplier in Ireland and if the mark four fairings fit? i also heard of a nifty mod to move the pipe from the right to the left. is this myth or is it possible, to have a full view of my pristine white rear wheel would be nice. thanks to you all for your help in the future and i look forward to being an active member in this VF community
Hollar at them jobby jabbers across the pond in ole England and tell them this is my island. I will b back For part 2
You should be able to find the manuals here on this site somewhere in PDF Use the search engine top right and search Service Manuals to start. Welcome to the site BTW
Damn Irish hooligans....They are always drinking all the Black Bushmills Whisky and buying all the cool bikes. Yes the left hand exhaust is possible but finding one will be very difficult and if you have a centerstand you will need to remove it in order to route the pipe to the left side. Not sure what a "mark four" is so I can't help with that question. Rollin
A couple years ago one of those UK exhaust companies was making a replacement left exit exhaust for the '90-'97. Check eBay UK or do an internet search, they may still be around. Good luck and post up some pics, welcome to the site too.
Thanks for that link, will download when finish work, and likewise will run a search for that elusive exhaust i doubt i'll have any money left after buying it paying for insurance and running into all the usual unpredictable problems of buying a used bike, but eventually i will get there. there is a big rally in Ireland on the Irish august bank holiday called the Dublin motorcycle touring club riders rally if anyone's interested i'll be on it, it's always a good laugh with plenty of bikes and covering usually a thousand or so miles in the weekend. The last few years i've been the one with a sore arse twisting the hell out of the throttle trying to keep up with everyone. this year i aim to cruse comfortably along
Sorry rollin when i said mark four i really meant mark three and when i meant mark three i really meant third gen
