Gauge starts flashing at 132-145 miles on tank (usually around 3.6-3.8 gallons to fill back up). Don't have no fancy phone to keep track of it...I have this thing they call paper and a pencil..lol I haven't noticed any difference either since I added the z-bomb. Though I have noticed that the more miles I get on it...the more consistent it is when it needs fuel. Haven't taken it on any long rides were I don't stop until I need fuel though. That should be coming up soon...I hope.

    For my 1200 my best fill up was 4/28/11 164.3 miles, 4.09 gallons, 40.1 mpg, $4.499 p/gal

My best mpg was the same day (different leg) I got 49.4 mpg, but topped off early before hitting a long stretch with no gas stops.

I have a passenger on my commute now: summer job student. Looked at the mileage before leaving from work (122), if I was solo I could have made it with about 2 liters of fuel left.
Since I had someone to help push I decided to risk it. I came to a full stop at 143 miles. Not even running on fumes, just completely empty, rocked the bike etc.

So with a full tank, top box, a passenger, Z-Bomb and spirited riding, that's how far I got.

Heh, I was reading all these numbers and going "Jesus...terrible" then I saw this. My record, too, is 218 miles on a jaunt from Southern Oregon to Redding on I-5. I was at a steady 70 mph, and skipped a gas station that i shouldn't have, then prayed as I did about 20 miles with the last bar flashing. This was on an '09 non-ABS.

Best mileage I ever got on my 97 VFR750 was 425.1 km's on 19.1 Litres. Spent most of the day doing 90-120 km/h, with a lot of mixed highway riding.

    425.1 km's x 0.6244 km's/mile = 265.43 miles
    19.1 L / 4.552 L per imp gal = 4.2 imp gal

    Worked out to 63 mpg.
