Hey guys, I am located just south of Denton, TX. I picked up a 98 as I have always been a fan of the VFR's and found a decent deal one. It has some nice power upgrades including the full micron high mount exhaust, Power Commander 3, K&N air filter. Some commuting upgrades include the Givi touring windshield and the corbin seat. Overall it's in great condition with the exception of some gas tank scratches. I'll get it repainted eventually but want to enjoy it for a while first ;)

My previous favorite bike was a 94 CBR 1000f. I've also owned a 01 R1, and a 00 CBR 600 F4 since that bike but they are just not comfortable enough to commute on or take small trips.

Holler if your in the area and want to shoot the Shi#. I also ride MX on my 05 CRF450r

    Brent

Welcome, some nice bikes you got there. My brother had one of those 450's it was a wicked thing, revs to about 19K if I'm not mistaken?

Thanks guys, ya I wasn't looking for another rocketship but something I can commute on and still ejoy to get on it in the twisties or straightaways. I almost went FJR1300 but I just couldn't picture myself on that bike. Maybe when I'm 45+ or going on coast-to-coast trips. The 450 is a mean bike and I try to keep it in the air as much as possible :) @!!

I just realized i've almost gone all honda. Car, MX, Street. Boat is Toyota and Truck is Nissan. Honda doesn't make those lol.

When I'm not on the dirt or street - water !!

welcome to the board dude!! there aren't many, but there are at least a few folks on this board here in DFW. I'm with you though, in that Honda needs to build a boat. Living this close to Joe Pool Lake is driving me nuts knowing i dont have the means to enjoy it! I will say though that living this far south, there are a few decent roads not far from here.

Have fun with the newfound love affair that is the VFR, believe me, youll be thanking yourself a million times before youre done!

Got her inspected and went for a short 15 mi ride this morning (still need to go the the DMV for plates lol). Lovin it.

Few things I noticed. More torque than the cbr600f4, heavier front end seems to keep the nose down a lot better when you really get on it, I love the way it feels in corners and the Micron Exaust with the V4 engine sounds bad-ass!!

Going to DMV now :) Chris, ya there are a lot more nice hills down there then up here. We have about 2 places to go with big S bends that you can go over 60 and that's it :(. Looking forward to trips over to Broken Bow or maybe down to your place.

Hey Congats. I am a native New Yorker but I was stationed at Fort Hood in Texas when I was in the Army. After I got out of the military I lived in Dallas and Paris Tx. I was still in my 20s so I used to go to Denton all the time and chase girls at TWU and North Texas State colleges. I had friends in Grapevine and Lewisville also. Nice riding there when it is not raining and lots big semi trucks on the road.
