    Won't work while underway. :smokin:

The lighter has its own circuit I wired direct from the battery through an accessory fuse box and relay... only the relay is switched by the OEM wiring.
Heated grips and the like are a constant load. Although a lighter draws a lot it's only infrequently and for a brief time... bet turning the starter/engine is quite a bit more and the battery recovers from that just fine.
The socket will be dang handy for charging my phone and what not as well.

    Hijack alert -

I quit smoking back on December 1. Had stopped once before for about 18 months. Only time in the last 26 years I haven't smoked. Despite all the reports, and how you can save money, blah blah blah... I still miss it. I'm not one of those former smoker anti smokers either. Its a choice. Just don't smoke in my house (I never did), and its all cool.

I quit when they went to .50 cents a pack! ( Back in 1980 .50 cents was a sizeable amount )

    What's the old saying?

"I spent 50% of my money on women, cars, and partying. The other half I wasted".
