Hi....new to the forum. Bought a 07 anniversary edition last month with 7k miles on the clock. All stock right now, but I'll be adding some things very soon. Heli's, new seat, factory bags if I can find them. Love the bike and get compliments daily. Looking forward to putting lots of miles on it, as I commute 35 miles one way to work and also have a place in the NC mountains.

Before I get scolded any more, here is a pic. ;-)

Nice. Now it is customary, some say mandatory, that you post pictures of your vehicle. Otherwise it's just here say. And Congratulations, choice well made!

    Welcome to the World!

    Cheers

LOL! I thought the same thing. I think the cat approves so much he's claiming it as his!

Nice find and with very low miles too. The factory bags are still available and can be found in the $800 price range. I've got them on mine and they are worth the money. Welcome to the forum.

risgett, I have the same setup but my cat is a tabby.

I have the same plans for mods as you, but I've been pretty broke here lately. I'll get straightened out eventually.

    Be safe.

Welcome also. I am new to this generation 6 but started buying Intercepters in 1993. My RWB has the bags and ABS, now I want a seat solution.

Thanks to everyone for all the greetings, but I have some bad news to report. We were going out of town this past wednesday and I have not yet built a ramp to get my bike in my workshop. My neighbor offered for me to park it in his 40'x40' shop while I was gone so I took him up on it and parked it over there. Last night when I got home I told him I would be over in 20 minutes to get it. He decided to be 'helpful' and turn it around for me so I could just ride it striaght out the shop and he DROPPED IT!! He didn't have the keys so he was just pushing it, and I'm not sure what happened exactly(The shop is new and has that glossy looking cement floor which is very slick). When I got over there it was on it's side up against a toolbox and his jet ski and he had this oh shit look on his face. I know he didn't mean to, and he's gonna pay for getting it fixed, but he could tell I was slightly upset last night. It broke the mirror and clutch lever off, and a couple scratches that I think might buff out. I don't know which is worse, dropping your bike or someone else dropping your bike.

Sorry to hear about what happened, its easier if it happens to you, as you can only be mad at your self & we tend to get over it quicker. Atleast he says he will repair it.

There's a saying that seems to cover situations like this, particularly with your neighbors position..."No good deed goes unpunished". This doesn't prevent me from helping anyone but sometimes it becomes painful (or costly) when s#!t like this happens.
At least he's offered to cover the damage. Sorry that it happend so soo after getting it.

Yea, it definitely sucks. But he's a good friend of mine and I'm not mad at him, just upset that it happened. But as they say...S%@T happens. I offered to split the repair costs with him since he was doing me a favor by letting me park it over there, but he said no he would pay for it. I was kind of in shock last night when I walked in his shop and saw it laying there, so I don't remember the whole conversation....but I do remember him saying more than once...."I wasn't expecting it to be that damn heavy". LOL:biggrin:

Best pull off the fairing on the side that hit the deck to assess the actual damage.
