Bazzaz Development Help

Hey guys, I need your help. I'm designing the kit for the 02-09 VFR800 but it's got stock rearsets which doesn't give you the option of doing a quickshifter since the shift pedal is splined directly onto the transmission shaft. We still want to provide a QS option for this bike, so I was hoping someone on here could give me a measurement for the shift rod used on the Sato rearsets. I looked on Sato's site, but they don't list the length of their rod.

I really appreciate your guys' help!

 

The shift rod for the Sato rearsets on my '03VFR800 measures 160 millimeters.
If you need any other measurements Bazzaz just let me know.

Do you have an ENTIRE spare parts bike? Seems like when every any one has a question, you have a picture. I'm not complaining, its pretty BAMF actually...

 

Stosh ROCKS with the pics! I've been saying for at least a couple of years, almost anytime someone asks, he has a pic of it.

Nah. My bike is partially disassembled right now Guj so it makes for easy access to take a pic when someone has a question.

The shift rod that Bazzaz asked about adjusts the angle of the toe lever on the left rearset and since I don't currently have the bike roadworthy I haven't adjusted it's final position yet so all the lock nuts on it are still loose. It was a simple matter to unscrew the shift rod,take my pic,and screw it back on. Took all of about maybe two minutes to do.
I don't mind doing a bit of leg work to lend someone a hand,besides mounting a quick shifter on my Jokermobile sounds like it might be an interesting idea. :eyebrows:

Whew! It's a good thing that no one asks to see a finished pic of my bike because at the rate I work that's one pic I'll prolly never have. :lol:
