Sorry to ask such a simple question, but I still put electrical systems in the area of black magic and voodoo. I think by necessity that will change quickly.

Just bought my, new to me, 1994 VFR750F. First ride I ended up with a dead battery. Checked and cleaned all the connectors and I replace the stock R/R with a Rick's unit and would now like to wire-in a SDC Voltage Monitor. Can anyone make a suggestion on where to wire it in? I'm thinking it needs to be switched power, but I'm worried about getting a good read on the voltage. Would it be better to run a dedicated wire from the battery and add an on/off switch?

    Thanks for any help,

    Rick

Well, since I added a switched fuse block, I ran mine off that fuse block seeing direct battery voltage.
