    Hey folks-

I tried a search to see if anyone else had the same problem as I just had, but couldn't find anything similar. My apologies if I missed it!

anyhow, while riding home today with my wife on the back of the VFR (2005 ABS model), the red FI light came on. I don't know if it matters, but i had just pumped gas maybe 10 miles prior to it happening and it was over 100 degrees F today. the bike ran at about 230 degrees the whole time i rode. the FI light stayed on until i got home. after leaving the bike parked for awhile, i went back and turned it on. the side stand was down. the FI light turned on and then turned off after a couple seconds, which i assume is normal since that's what it always does. there were no blinks to indicate an error code. the bike ran fine while the light was on and i didn't notice any performance issues.

    any suggestions...?

also, the wiring harness recall was done awhile ago...

you have to jump the test point for it to blink codes. Should be able to do a youtube search for Reading VFR800 FI Codes to see a video on how-to

Could theorize to the moon. Check youtube for instructions on running the FI codes. The computer will tell you if it stored a fault code. Then the troubleshooting can begin. Anything else is a complete and utter waste of time.
