Just got a 2010 a couple weeks ago and hadn't hit any rain yet. Noticing the open area at the bottom of windsheild does the rain come up from that by any chance. If so looks like instructment panel (and You) get wet.

Yep, the protection isn't the best. Search this forum and you will find similar discussions.

I was surprised how poorly the front fender worked. The design is so abbreviated it allows water to splash up and soak your feet and lower legs.

Yeah, the gauges get wet too. I applied Rain-X to mine. That helps.

I love the bike. The roll-on power is so much fun!

    Good luck!

if it's raining hard enough for enough water to channel thru there...you're already soaked !!!

I've been caught in hard rains and light rains on the 1200vfr never noticed any extra flow of water shooting up from anywhere since everything was soaked. The stuf in the top box stays dry. This picture is right after ridding through heavy rain that let up about one mile before Pier Park Panama City Beach FL. I put the helmet in the top box cable locked my jacket to the bike and walked around trying to dry out. [IMG]
