I just picked up my bike today. I ordered it back on October 20th, so it's been 5 long months of waiting. Thanks to all who have put up with my whining as others took delivery of their bikes while I was still waiting for mine to come in.

I've got it in the basement and will be adding a +2 sprocket on the rear as well as a SpeedoHealer. I was hoping to powder coat the rims white before spring, but it will have to wait as the weather is starting to break. I'll probably make that a winter project for next year.

I can't wait to line it up with my '86 VFR750F and '86 VF500F for a photo shoot. I love the RWB color scheme on this bike.

Glad to see you finally got it!!!! The bike looks great in person doesn't it? I wish it would warm up so I could ride mine. Last night I opened the garage while I was grilling and just looked at it for a while.... Could have sat there just about all night. Its a sickness. Congrats on the new bike and make sure you post pics with them all together.

Yes, you're right. My initial goal was to complete my 1986 collection by trying to find the VF1000R in great shape. I've been looking for years and as you already know, that bike is next to impossible to find in great shape. When the 25th anniversary tri-color was announced, I decided that this would be an addition that I couldn't pass up and I'd rather have this bike than the 1000R anyway.

I'm itching to ride it as I gave up my 5th Gen to get it! I loved my 5th Gen just as I love my 2nd Gen. I'm sure the 6th Gen will live up to my expectations as well. How can it not? It's a V4.

Thanks alter ego. Others have been saying that the bike looks amazing in person and I can say that it truly does. Today was a beautiful sunny day and when I got hit home and took it off the trailer, I stood there looking at it and it just radiates. Honda nailed this color scheme. Too bad you don't live closer - I'd love to ride with other VFR owners in this area - there are very few of them around here.

That red stripe really does come to life when the sun hits it.... Any miles on it yet??? I'm taking mine to work tomorrow I think. 60 degrees. You should take it to a Lime Rock weekend this year...lots of bikes show up, part of the reason I bought this bike was for the range. Its about three hours for me (NW Connecticut is still not right around the corner). I'm trying to get a couple of my friends to go for Memorial day weekend. Sunday and Monday actually. The cars and bikes that show up are unbelievable plus the racing.... GT, prototypes thundering through the valley.

Not yet. I'm still working on "prepping" it. I removed all the general warning labels and stickers last night. I also removed the passenger pegs as well. It looks better than I thought it would without them on there. Right now I'm looking to do something with that terrible looking rear fender, then I'm going to wax it. I'm hoping that by next week I'll be good to go.
