This just started happening yesterday with my '06 which has approx 6K miles. While the hydralic fluid is not as clear as when I replaced it last ( approx 18 months ) I intend to put new fluid in this weekend hoping this may improve things but I'm not optimistic this will change anything.

Normally, I've only ever needed to pull the clutch lever in slightly for precise shits. Now, I find myself having to pull the clutch lever ALL the way in to advance from 2nd to 3rd. This mostly only happens during speeds above 30 MPH but not all the time. This does not happen with any other gears, only from 2nd into 3rd. There is no problem down shifting from 3rd to 2nd.

Can anyone relate to this or shed some light on what may be causing this? I've got a PC V with a stock map, K&N with slightly gutted stock cans.

    Thanks,

    Gunzer

Mine did the same thing, simply change the oil, and it's back to smooth.

I'd like to think it would be this simple however this only occurs from 2nd up to 3rd and nowhere else within the gears. I changed the oil earlier in the season already. The oil has only a few hundred miles on it.

What else does anyone have for me? Monk from VFR Discussion suggested I may have damaged the 3rd gear during a high rpm shift. I have been winding her out a bit more than usual recently.

I'd really like some other members to weigh in before I start wrenching on her.

    THanks,
