I need to wire the mount for my Garmin Zumo 665 on my 2000 VFR. This mount has to be hard wired to the bike (see photo). Can anyone advise me on the best place to connect the power wire other than the positive terminal on the battery?

You can either tap into the tail light wiring or license plate light wiring which will provide you with a switched power source or you could add a dedicated fuse block under the seat that will provide you with power to multiple devices. The fuse block can also be wired so that it only provides power when the key is turned on.
