Went for a quick ride noticed it was running hotter than normal, I could feel it on my right ancle. Parked it a the RH side fan was not on, LH side was. I could heart boiling on the RH side. There is one fuse for both fans right, so may be the RH side fan motor? What do you think? thanks guys.

There is no fan on the right. Only one fan and it's on te left.

If it was boiling over, either you were low on coolant to begin with, radiator cap is bad, or more likely that the thermostat is stuck closed and requires replacement. We've already established that the fan was running so start by checking the fluid level.

OK, I guess the right side fan was a newbie (to VFR) question. I topped up the coolant. I may be paranoid but I do hear the coolant bubbling / boiling after getting off the bike in hot conditions on the RH side rad area. The temp gauge is not showing overheating (122 c +), it'll run at 100-107 c and the fan reduces the temp back to high 90's. I think I'll drain and refill with new coolant this weekend to be sure it's fresh. I've only had the bike a couple months but hearing the coolant is getting me nervous. If the thermostat is stuck closed it would overheat and the temp gauge would show it.

Right on, it would show on the gauge.

What you may be hearing is expanding coolant pushing past your radiator cap into the overflow, or sucking back in as it's cooling back down. The overflow should be on the left but as you've seen, the radiator cap is on the right.

If you drain the coolant and replace, it's not uncommon for air in the system to burp and overfill the overflow bottle leaving a puddle on the floor. Just FYI.

Good point, could be gurguling back into overflow. Thanks! I'll look to use engine ice some something for high heat when I change it out.
