86 VF500 squeeking going on inside engine.

    If anyone has run across this problem, it sounds like it is coming from behind the left case cover and when you pull in the clutch lever it quits. Any input would be great. Thanks so much Steve:confused:

    My ole 500 does the same sometime its just the pushrod a spinning in there, I was goin to say its the mice on the wheel lol,
    Ne ways if noticed a squeek on occasion coming from my clutch hydraulic cylinder. If its a loud one though u could have a bushing or bearing going bad on the input or counter shaft. As gears are always turning when the clutch is released even in neutral.

    Thanks for the input, i replaced the clutch pack last night, it seems to have made a diffeerence:smile:

    Thanks to Squirrelman ,Orion3814 and Rubo for your input-- new clutch last night---gonna ride it to work this morning--a little chilly out but i knew I there was a reason I didnt put away the insulated carharts !!!!
