I find it frustrating that there appears to be no standardization whatever to how flour tortillas are sold. They may be any size or number in a bag. Large torts may come 12 or 20 or 8 to bag. Small torts, hmmm, small compared to what? No size parameters are ever discussed. Very inefficient. I cant plan my tortilla usage very well with this chaos.

Corn torts have it right. Obviously someone somewhere is in charge of corn tortillas.

Same way with hot dogs. There are 8 hot dogs to a package, other times 10. Yet, hot dog buns always show up in an 8 pack. So what do you do with those left over hot dogs? How can you buy just two hot dog buns?

how can you have a loaf of whole wheat bread and a loaf of white bread at the same time and the white bread goes stale WAY before the whole wheat? and what is in white bread that makes it turn to paste when you try to make a hamburger bun out of it?

On a ham and cheese sami, the mayo goes on the chees side and the mustard on the ham side. If no cheese then it doesn't matter. You can put the mayo on the ham side cause ham goes with mayo and also with mustrd, but cheese does not go with moustard so the mayo must be on the same side as the cheese so that you don't run into the cheese mustrd issue.

Personally I'm a no condiments kind of guy. Ketchup and mustard are fuggin gross. Mayo is gross.
I can't eat most cheeses either. So as you can imagine I don't have a lot of variety in my life.
The best I can do is a cooked italian hoagie with some italian dressing and some oregeno.
So I never have any of these "crossing the streams" issues with food, but I can sympathize.

I can see the truth in your sandwich rules....yet my concern lies with your failure to include bread choices and how that may introduce new parameters into condiment placement . Some may be put off by the thought of mustard touching rye for example. And of course there's the Kaiser roll, we may not even want to go there .

Also Randy, although this may not need mentioning, logic firmly dictates that no bananas be anywhere in the vicinity whIle sandwich production is underway. This means countertops, tables or other flat surfaces in the immediate area .

I never understood how Dagwood had a smokin' hot wife and all he cared about was sandwiches.
Or how Blondie had her catering business but never made sandwiches for Dagwood.
    Very upsetting.
