Anyone have any experience with any of the "locking" types of wheel chocks, such as Baxley's sport chock - the kind you roll your front wheel into, it then clamps the tire thereby securing the bike upright ? While the Baxley video on their website makes it look easy, I've been told by 2 owners of that unit that it is a bit difficult pulling the bike back OUT! There are other similar chocks made - anyone out there use/have one that they like?
I use the Condor SC2000 wheel chock in my 6X12 trailer with no complaints. I've transported several bikes of several different makes/types with no complaints. These things make trailering a bike a simple one man operation. I can load a 515lb VFR & tie it down in less than 5 minutes. http://www.condor-lift.com/they_works.htm KC-10 FE out... lane:
wheeldock. When the rear locking lever is pressed down and opened, the bike rolls out effortlessly. Also, rolling the bike INTO it is easier, because it is level with the ground, and the wheel, by rolling into it, holds it in place. BIG bonus on a smooth concrete surface where any forward force tends to move the chocks. Can also be bolted into concrete if you know what you are doing  different design than the teeter totter version. They have listings of dealers, you might be able to find one in your area to see in person. heavy steel construction - weighs a bit over 30lbs. The locking bar is angled to center and hold the tire in place. It's also 1/2" steel, and can be locked into place with a U-lock if you like.... http://www.wheeldock.com/prod-sportdock.asp a bit pricer than others may seem - but - that $295 includes the shipping of a 31lb package. Order directly from the manufacturer, and they include shipping.... other places sell it, but charge around $30 for shipping (but may list a slightly lower price). don't think you can go wrong with either actually. I was sold because of the need for smooth roll in and out on a smooth concrete floor.
wheeldock looks real! Thanks for the replies! The wheeldock looks like the ticket - they offer a 60 day money back - so I'm going to take them up on that. It looks like they've built a better mousetrap!
