Thought some of you folks might be interested... there is a solo cowl for a 2nd Gen RWB on eBay right now:

    • about 5 days left on the sale
    • free shipping
    • NO RESERVE
I will personally vouch for the quality of the parts from the seller, ritchj, as I just purchased a Corbin seat from him that was in excellent condition for super cheap. ( It really was a 9.9 / 10 for the condition and I feel like I stole it! ) I know the more interest there is in parts, the higher the bids go, but I wanted to make sure everyone here was aware of a rare item that needs a good home:

1986 Honda VFR750F Seat Cover, Cowl, Fine Condition, NR/Free Shipping | eBay

Frodus: Yes, that's the one. I checked my link, it works for me and another friend locally, not sure what's up with it. But you did find the same listing.

Toe: I tried contacting him to see if I could purchase the solo cowl for cheap as mine needs repairs and painted, but realized that he was going to post it anyways. I would have been jealous as shite if someone yoinked that for only 26 bucks!

Me too. I saved him as a seller... I think he's got other Gen 2 parts that he's casually adding as he has time. If all the parts are in this type of condition, we could have a gold mine.

Just remember that you could end up being the Winning Bidder, & will have to pay-up!

+1 ^ If you're ok with potentially getting stuck buying it, go for it. Personally, I would wait until closer to the end of the auction to see how much it bumps up by then. If you didn't have a spare, then that would be a different story.

What did you have to give for the brand new spare and where the hell did you find it??

Toe: Epic find!! My friends have been giving me shit for the deals I've come across recently... the seat from the seller above as one example. I'm now the one they turn to when they want to find something given my track record for good deals (recently, at least). Actually, I've convinced a friend to get a VFR as a first bike in the next few weeks. :hump:

Crusty: I'm sure I'll find myself out there at some point. I'd love to meet him in person and see all of these fabled goodies, along with the SC VFR800, of course. My brother lives in LA and sometime in the next year or so I'm planning on doing a cross-country trip out there on the Gen2. I'll have to see who I can meet along the way.

Dukie: Spot on, good sir. I found my Corbin seat through this seller listed slightly incorrectly... as such, no one was really bidding on it. (The title implied 1st Gen as he forgot the 'R' in the model name and did not list the years, but the description with part number and years was correct.) I put in my max bid with about 20 seconds to go on the auction... and scored it for less than half... with free shipping to boot! Even if the seat were beat to hell, I still think it would have been a steal.

I'm guessing this part is hard to find? I bought my bike used a couple of months ago and it came with it.
