On the VFR in question, nada really... -1 on the front sprocket, +2 on the rear, (kinda makes 6th gear pull like 5th on a stock ratio) (v-tec engaged at just over 70 mph) two brother's "stash" exhaust and power commander. ...NO speedo healer.

Some of these figures may be wind aided like we find in track and field with the exception that the wind here may be aided by hot air.

Whoa, wait just a minute. I would NEVER exaggerate how fast my bike goes. Nor the fish I catch or the perfect 10's I date... lol
I like messing with the pilots lining up to land at LAX. Pacing them at 290 as they're getting ready to land and then inching past them right before they touch down is hella fun ; )

If I get this ride down to Phillip Island, i'll get a corrected top speed - I don't much trust the speedo and besides, the last thing I look at whilst going fast is the speedo, too many things can happen too quickly to be focusing anywhere but forward...

Edit: Mind you, I'm a lean, mean 120kg so my numbers will mean little in the real world to 70kg riders...

ok went for another ride today this time with my bro on his zx9r and my buddy on his sv1000 and i went up to 140 on my speedo with both of them riding besides me and when we finished riding i asked them how fast their speedo was reading and they said around 140-145 so my bike matches theres so either all of our bikes are wrong or my speedo is correct idk o_O

    verify with a GPS.

you don't need to do triple digits to see the error either.

It seems there is a general 'rule' with most vehicle manufacturers (outside of europe, anyway) that the OEM speedo will have an error that indicates a higher-than-actual speed. Those three Japanese bikes more than likely have very similar errors. For some reason, the european manufacturers seem to think speedo accuracy should be better than that. My wife's Jaguar, my Audi, my Aprilia, and the two Triumphs I currently own all have/had speedos that were very close to spot-on (compared to the same GPS in each case).

And my Aprilia (which was not stock) registered 167mph on the on-board computer. I've seen 155 indicated on a Gen 4 ('01 VFR800), so likely about 145 corrected. IMHO, that's about what all of them will really do in stock form. Perhaps the VFR12 will do more than that; but I haven't heard any of those rumors.

    Carry on lads.

i guess ima have to gps is it and see how much it is off, i hope its not off by that much. and idk why they govern bikes. i can do as much damage going 140 as if i'm going 180 at those speeds i don't think it matters anymore, but again i'm not an idiot only time i go triple digits is when i see almost 0 cars on the road and ik there won't b any cars or anything that can get in my way and i don't hold that speed i get to desired speed and then decelerate back to speed limit. i just do it for a quick adrenaline rush when my meth high is wearing off.

It's a domain name that is so far, unused. There is a similar website called "Harleydudes" that more than sums up the drift even though "they" are known to do the unspeakable.

The beauty is that to be either does not require even owning a Harley. Thankee Jesus.

That's pretty close to what I saw but I was really watching my tac go just before redline and instantly let off so I didn't see the exact number.
