I was wondering if anyone has attempted to change to non-riser clamp ons with stock fairing with no problems?
I saw this picture for the millionth time recently and JUST noticed what was done to the handlebars and it kind of interested me as to how it was done.
If anyone has done this please let me know what had to be done and how it changed the feel and handling of the bike.
    Thanks

Bump... I know it's almost 2 years old, but i was wondering the same. It seems all 39mm clip-on's are 1". I want to keep my factory 7/8" controls. There has to be a donor bike out there with the perfect clip-on's.

Here's a couple of mine. Both 39mm / 7/8". First set is Magura. No rise, nice angle.

Next are Telefix. Infinitely adjustable. Can be ran in a higher or lower position. Some 37mm examples on one of my street 500s and race bike.
