    Hi guys,

I want to buy pants and boots for riding since I'm a beginner in motorcycle world (october 2011) but I'm hesitating between few types and brands. Leather or textile for pant? Over pants? Full lenght boots or half-lenght? etc....Here my choices:

    Pants:

    REV'IT! Gear Pants - RevZilla
-Leather and mesh mix for good protection and air flow

AGV Sport Willow Perforated Leather Pants - Street Bike - Motorcycle Superstore
    -Leather perforated

AGV Sport Telluride H2O Vented Pants - RevZilla
    -Textile pants

    Boots:

    TCX X-Cube Boots - RevZilla
-Look likes everyday shoes with good amount of protection

Cortech Latigo Air RR Boots - RevZilla
-Sport/Sport touring boots, higher than the other one, perforated leather, good for track days

I know there are huge gaps between type and style and I want to know what do you guys suggest if:

    - I don't go to the track (at least not this year)
    - I usually do medium to long ride
    - I have my apprentice licence until beginning of septembre so I don't commute to work with my Viffer
    - I live near Montreal, Quebec so just ride in late spring to early fall (March to October)
    - I don't ride in rain
    - Iwant good protection (that's why these are my choices)

    - I also don't want to pay 300$ to 600$ pants and boots, I'm still a full time student and want to keep my money for a condo/house ;)

    Thanks

    GWD88

Don't let Randy who is from the other side of your world find out you don't ride in the rain. It will hurt his feelings.

Just my two Loony's.. Perforated leathers are for when you decide to buy and can afford two sets of riding gear. Best IMO to buy a vented jacket as your number one.

    Thanks for Randy's sake.. ;)

I was kind of hoping he would send you his leaky jacket since you have no immediate need for raingear.

One alternative I can offer is to ride with just your jacket and helmet establishing an all new fashion statement for all of Canada..
