Hi all. I have been trying to figure out an alternate mounting position for the oil cooler on my 3rd gen fighter conversion for some time and have finally found a likely position. I am thinking of mounting it vertically on the left side sort of tucked under the bend of the hose from the radiator to the water pump. What i am wondering does anyone know of any issue with mounting the stock oil cooler like this? Will it create any problems with the flow through it? Also wondering if anyone knows which of the two points where the lines come out of the oil pan is the inlet(from the cooler)and which is the outlet(to the cooler) and may be able to help me out before i have to find out the messy way.
Have searched around for this info but couldn't turn anything up.
    Cheers guys.

I don't think that that would be an issue, but you may have to bump the starter with a line off to determine oil flow direction...

Rule of thumb is that the top is the inlet, pumping the fluid with the flow of gravity.

You'll never know until you try.

    LOL.

That's an old pic Guj,but to be honest yeah I'm pretty much always tweaking "something" on one of my bikes. :lever:

In my humble opinion stock bikes suck, simple as that. They were made to a price point.
With the plethora of aftermarket parts that are currently available out there they can be made to perform much better.
