Sometimes I just can't leave well enough alone...

After 100 miles worth of test riding, I decided to tackle the front wheel.
-The tire was a little more roasted then I originally thought.
-The rotors were original and thinner than I was comfortable with. They had formed a significant "lip" when running your fingers perpendicular to their rotation.
-The wheel bearings? They're cheap and why the fuck not.
-The wheel itself was covered in chips and gouges and generally filthy.

Now some of you will ask "why stick with the stock VFR wheel/tire, this is the perfect opportunity?!". My answer is: I have a CBR already and I'm in no hurry to change this bike. Maybe part of me is a stickler for originality?

    And we're off...

Parts! EBC Pro-Lite rotors, All Balls wheel bearings, and a Michelin Pilot Activ tire (matches the rear, which is in great condition).

Hit with some Duplicolor wheel paint. Came out great, honestly. No pictures of the process but --> degrease, wash, sand, sand again, wipe/prep, spray, and spray some more.

100 times better than it was before.

I took the tire off the rim pre-paint and what a bitch it was. The shop that put the new tire on had more than a few words about the difficult process. Apparently this wheel/tire combination is an impossible pain in the ass.

Hopefully the bike rides and stops better but I won't know for another day or two.

...and apparently my battery keeps going flat. I've become a pro at push starting this bike. I'll have to break out the mutli-meter and chase that down.

I just talked myself out of getting my rims powder coated white. Thanks for ruining it with that awesomeness.
