Any Viffers in Plano Tx?

ok, here goes. i am in north east plano (around los rios / bob woodruff park). i would like to do some group rides. i normally head up north - a few nice roads between lucas and mckinney airport. then up past new hope. from there mosy on over to leonard then wolf city. pretty nice twisty roads up there (at least for this area)

someone post up or PM and i'll lead or follow.

oh yea, i'm on my 4th VFR. lived in japan in the 80's and had a couple 400cc vfrs (and a nice 250 NSR). most recent is a 2005 and now a 2009 with ABS (not to mention a cbr f4i and sv650 and a traded in harley softail and goldwing).

man, talk about a dead thread. am i the only VFR owner left in plano? been on some good rides lately and always the only vfr but i'm happy.

Hey all... I just moved to Frisco/Little Elm area from Viginia about 2 weeks ago. I loved being active in VA. How's the Viffer group activity level in N Dallas?

 

considering only 2 posts in the last 8 months, i would have to say non-existent.

for some local rides, check out TXSBR.com - Texas Sportbike Riders Club there are usually weekly rides once the weather warms up. not vfr specific but relatively safe group of sportbike riders (no wheelies or running from the cops) i have not seen another vfr on the road since around 2005 and they were from houston and austin.
or, there is a meetup group called airbenders. also safety oriented group but fairly advanced riding skills. not much going on now but come warm weather you will see lots of rides posted.

I'm in Garland. As the weather gets better (thunderstorms this weekend) we need a wrench and ride and eat session.

Well, I just found this site and I'm in Little Elm. Just bought a '94 but she's not a runner yet so I wont be riding with anyone anytime soon.

Hey there! Welcome to the board. My wife's 98 VFR is in the shop getting tires and an inspection. She's excitied to get it back and finally begin riding it. We just finished putting it together after buying it and going thru it with a fine tooth comb. I probably spent about $100 just on nuts/bolts and brackets! This is a great site for learing and the members are really good at sharing information. Hope you enjoy it!

 

I know this is kind of an old dead thread but, I'm in Little Elm and just got an 03 VFR. Would love to find some people to ride with. Just moved to the Dallas area this past July from New Braunfels.

I'm in uptown Dallas. My friend who I usually ride with is moving away so looking for new people to ride with. Have a 06 VFR, great bike. Use to ride a 695 ducati but moved into the Honda about eight months ago.
