Thanks for the tips. I don't have much time to take the forks to bits at the moment so I'll probably just change the oil and see if that helps with a view to sorting the rest out later.

I've purchased the chain adjustment tool from a local dealer and my god, that thing is easy to adjust! I'm well impressed with how quick it is, no more loosening the spindle, undo the locknuts, check it's lined up, rinse and repeat! I'm really loving this bike!

Ordered some replacement internals for the starter motor, hoping that will repair my homemade problem, I think the clutch is dragging slightly when in gear with the clutch pulled in, so starting the bike on the kill switch with the clutch pulled in may have ruined the starter clutch. I've been fiddling with the clutch a bit but I guess I'll just try to only start it in neutral as far a s possible now to avoid future problems.

Enjoyed your little rant ridevfr, quite funny! :)

There are some threads on here about cracked starter clutches...its behind the clutch cover me believes. I havent had that problem, knock on wood.

I only start my bikes in neutral. Good Luck and Safe Riding ; )

Remedy . SURVEY SAYS > Sergeant brand or Corbin brand after market seat / saddle. Other than that your only other possible issue will be BOING > "Boner" in public from the happy face riding on a sweet VFR...... CHEERS
