hello world, we have recently changed the chain and sprockets on my 95 vfr 750f and after it was put back together the clutch would not engage. after troubleshooting for days we decided to replace the clutch master cylinder. the question i have is when i called to order the part the lady asked if it was dual or single. not really sure what she was talking about but i couldnt find it in the manual or online. help is greatly appreciated.

Does not sound like the person understood what you were looking for.

I'm sure your troubleshooting process is a long story but I'll be curious if that fixes your problem. The master isn't a part that fails often. However in certain circumstance it can get an air bubble trapped.

I really suspect that if you look at the parts fische, there will only be one part number listed. The question doesn't sound appropriate. I'm unable to consult the parts list at the moment to verify, have you looked?

so i called the store back again, and they didnt ask me if it was dual or single again so it was the clerk's mistake lol. gonna try and go with a rebuild kit for the master. also have you guys had any trouble getting the clutch to engage after changing sprockets? the fluid was bled numerous times.

Guide bushing on the cover misaligned and preventing the cover from seating properly?

Just don't see how a clutch master could take a dump overnight.

If you bled the clutch then you know the master is pumping. Should also be able to tell if it is holding pressure or if it has any pressure against it.

Try pinching the line as close to the master as you can with a pare of needle nose pliers and see if it builds pressure. I am guessing it will.
