I am going to COTU in Elkins, WV. Not too far for some of you guys. Hell, it's a 500+ mile ride for me to get there.

Most VFRs are too nice to ride. Just park it and post rectifier and oil threads.

Still looking for weekend rides. Right now I basically do 50-150 mile loops. I'd like to put on some more miles?

Beta...what road do you take on the other side of 211 that heads back up to front royal?

Take 211 past luray (bypass not local) make a right at the ktm dealer and go through gwnf. Basically plot luray to fort valley to front royal. All the roads back there are awesome. Be careful after a rain, gravel.

What's up everyone? Name is DJ and I am new to the VFR forums. I live in Purcellville, not too many bikes out here that I have seen. Safe riding everyone.

Wow, that's a pretty good commute. At least half of it is gorgeous and fun.

When I lived in Reston (and when I move back) I love riding route 50 from Dulles to Deep Creek lake... going through Romney and those mountains is a great ride.

*shakeshake....Wake up! Anybody here? Trying to put a mountain adventure together for Saturday, 5/19. Starting in Oilville around 9ish or so and doing the "usual". Back to starting point by 5ish. 300ish mile ride. Fastish pace but not crazy. Enjoyable pace sounds better. Anybody?

Hmmm...cooking something...how about a few sets of Dunlops and Bacon Explosion? At Summit Point with CCS. Hopefully the competition too...
Gonna be a busy weekend with the gf and another friend making their racing debut in the Lightweight class along with riding two classes with the RC and 1000RR. Come hang out and watch! We'll share beer and bacon...

I may be able to ride with you. It will be my first doing the "usual". Would you consider it a reasonable ride for a new rider?
