Well, I finally did it! Got my first VFR today...Its a new 2008 I found at a dealer in MN. I REALLY like the rwb 2007 and found a used one at another dealer in MN. They wouldn't give me much for trade (2001 Shadow VT1100 Spirit with 47k miles), so I picked up the 2008. WOW, is this machine different than my shadow! With the 100 miles I put on it today I couldn't be more happy. This one wants to GO when you twist the throttle. I have had a thing for the Interceptor for many years but always had a handful of reasons not to get one. I have been checking this site for a little while to get information on these bikes and come across the thread on being "too old" for the VFR. Being 43 yrs old I decided to get the ball rolling. Mostly because of what I read from all the other riders...

I think my boy is as happy as I am!

The Shadow was a very reliable and economical bike. Just lacking a little.

Awsome bike. I love the silver color. I just got my 2007 RWB about two weeks ago. I love the VFR and how it rides. Be safe up there in the land of the frozen tundra.

Welcome lad. I think you'll find you're about the average age around here. I'm 61, so....

Congrats on the new ride, you chose a machine that'll keep you feeling young for a very long time.

Thanks! The bike is SOOO different than the old one. Much better all around. Put about 300 miles on so far and it feels good. Much more comfortable for me. Last couple of mornings it was 28 degrees when I left...

This time of year and into the fall, it is usually about that when I leave for work. Just remember to take it easy on those cold tires! I bet your son is begging you to take him out. Congratulations on the bike.
