Easiest way to describe Motorcycling to a non biker ?

Anyone know the most economical way to describe the act of riding to a Non motorcyclist ?

Was on day 3 of a 4 day ride down to our local Alpine twisties after a particularly satisfying run with perfect weather and low cars through a 50 mile mountain section filled with countless 10mph to 30mph corners with all of us at the meet up point smiling and universally agreeing to my statement " Those that don't ride have no clue do they ? " so threw up the question:

" whats the quickest way to describe motorcycling to a non biker ? "

The best answer that we came up with was:

" it's like getting a headjob from a beautiful bird while riding a roller coaster "

ie great fun mixed with ecstasy and an element of risk, anyone come up with another ?

 

It's like flying but you don't leave the ground only better. Kinda like riding outside of our car.


Ok there is just to way to describe it.

It might just be me but for some reason getting bird poop on my head,even attractive bird poop,while I'm riding an amusement park ride really doesn't remind me at all of motorcycling. :yuck: :lol:

It's the most personal mode of transport : you are really one with the road! You can reach down and touch it.

The road can be quite humbling at times. There are other times that it gives you exactly what you need.

Henry David Thoreau once said "Many men go fishing all their lives without knowing it is not fish that they are after". I guess the same could be said about motorcycling.

 

And if your not careful it will reach up and touch you!

It's like riding a large wild cat, if you do everything right, you'll have an awesome and exhilarating ride. If you do something to upset the beast, you could end up being eaten!

 

Ya know that's actually a fairly accurate description of what it's like to ride my RC51 Double O.
