I know everyone is making something huge of it and it looks like I want to attend! I will see if I can make it!
Picture your last video with snow instead of sand. And about three times as much. My commute to work this morning....in the truck
I've driven in blizzards, I guess you can say, caging it makes you feel a tad bit safer in those situations lol anyways, heres the conclusion of the trip
We got caught in a sandstorm like that last summer from 4 Corners to Kayenta on my ST1300. Riding a 2-lane when you can only see 100' is kind of disconcerting. At the motel we talked to a HD rider that was blown into the ditch by an oncoming semi cutting the wind (of course his loud pipes didn't help him there). My tank also took a beating from the sand, the windshield pitting had to be buffed back out. We had to stop for gas and I hated opening the tank to fill it up. When we got to Phoenix I took the air cleaner out and dumped almost 1/2 cup of red sand out of it. I had to wash my modular helmet out to get it to work again and I was still finding sand in stuff all summer.
