i just purchased an 01 vfr800 w/5500 miles on it...it is pristine, not so much as a bug on it, new tires and battery and ready for summer...i own a 98 magna that is the only bike i have ever owned, this will be the 12th season...it is just about to turn 41k, i bought it with 761 miles on it in the spring of 2001...

i have been posting on the fireblades forum since last autumn as i was looking at the 954 and 929 but found them highly overpriced and most had "issues"...the vfr was on my short list so i had done plenty of research throughout the last year and plenty of reading before that...i own a honda civic and have a honda 4 stroke on my fishing boat, if honda made shoes i'd buy them...

i look forward to chatting with you all...i tend to find the humor in most any circumstance so bear with me...i'll post some pics later today when it warms up enough to get it outside, i'm sure you've all seen one or 187 just like it but what the hell...zp...

nice. almost the same story I had. I looked for a fireblade for a couple years. most of them had seen less than responsible use. I stumbled onto a VFR and realized it was a much better fit for me.

thank you gentlemen, i think i'm going to like it alot...i have a medical condition that keeps me from long trips but i can sure as hell tear up the asphalt when i want...i've had the magna (1st and only bike until now) for 11 years and have not decided if i'm going to keep it or not...we'll see...

i see things in a different light than most and see the humor in most any situation (i was a big hit in the marine corps, 68-72 sgt honerale discharge)...i'll be around...zp...

i was looking at a 954 in columbus but couldn't bring myself to drive all the way down there for another disappointment...i drove all over michigan looking at bikes that the owners had taken pics of when new (before they had been "knocked over" in their driveway by their wives -wife was doing 120mph in the driveway- and somehow had gotten a salvage title)...i'd still like a 954 but not willing to fork over $1500 to $4000 above excellent book to get one unless the frame is made of solid gold...zp...
