depending on your schedule, i would suggest the squamish high way up through whistler, pemberton, lilloett and cache creek. from there you have a couple options including the douglas lk rd out of merrit to kamloops and from their the old highway to vernon and then out the lumby route to needles, ainsworth, crawford bay, creston and out the crowsnest pass to alberta. This beats the transcanada and only adds about 2days to your trip (assuming you want to be rested for the twisties out of vernon). I know these roads well, I grew up in Squamish, traveled to Enderby just about ever two weeks for 3yrs and traveled all over BC just to say ive been there. I can give better directions if you wish, some of these roads dont show up on route planners, just pm me.

    Keep it going John.
Don't think of it as a ride back, it's a ride further on - just in a semi-homeward direction

Damn. Sorry to have missed you. Yeah, during the week I live in Lompoc, CA and go home on the weekends to Atascadero where the roads get really good. Between Santa Barbara county, San Luis Obispo County, and southern Monterey county we have hundreds or perhaps thousands on miles of curves and awesome scenery.
