I was looking at some 600s with a friend of mine who was looking to purchase one last weekend. I got to looking at an exhaust on a gsxr 600 and thought to myself something similar would look pretty bad ass on my 04. So my question is has anyone ditched the under seat exhaust for something like this?

I think it would look pretty nice if i could integrate it on my 04.

Has anyone tried anything like that? It seems like it would be much more efficient than the way the exhaust is routed under the seat when it goes straight up.

It seems like the hardest part would be stabilizing the can with some sort of bracket. Or maybe I just have cabin fever and need to ride to get such ideas out of my head

Forum member Bazmate ditched the under seat exhaust and installed a low mount pipe on his 6th gen. VFR800.
The pipe hanger bracket could use a bit of lovin' but other than that it looks pretty cool.
Sure does clean up the back end of the bike though doesn't it Jester.

wow that does look pretty nice. I think I would angle it a bit lower so that we can still ride 2 up ans also have a shorter muffler. Thanks for the pictures, looks like I have a new project.

save that two bros for a little bit until you decide first which you like.

Loosing the undertail at some angles makes it look like it's missing something. From other angles, it looks like a snake.

    Love your seat.

    Thanks. It is quite comfy.

I think having the rear foot pegs on will fill up the space a little bit but I guess I wont know until its done. I was also thinking it might look a little odd because the VFR sits up higher than the gsxr in the picture.
