I purchased a two brothers black series aluminum exhaust for my 2007 vfr. I took off the stock system and put on the new s bend tube and it doesnt seem to fit right. The pipe wont go straight up and it hits the plate for the passenger pegs. Not sure if they sent me the right s bend tube. I have the rear pegs removed. getting frustrated!!! I keep on reading how easy they were to install. If anyone who has put these pipes on has any suggestions they would be much appreciated. Thanks

I put the same system on, back in January, and the S-tube is a bitch.

Check the part number for the S-tube, make sure they indeed send the right pipe.

I'm fairly certain that I put the S-tube on the header first, don't put the clamp on, then fit up the right canister and connect it to the S-tube.

I had a friend help, second pair of hands was a HUGE help. Two beers a piece. Done.

I purchased a top of the line Two Bros M2 Elite Ruby torched Titanium exhaust for my '03 about a year ago Acerockola. I finally got around to installing it just recently and ran into a sorta similar train wreck with my midpipe.

There's a bend in my midpipe right about where the Red arrow is in your pic that's angled inward way to steeply on my midpipe. When I bolted the exhaust can loosely onto the midpipe and installed it the inside end at the rear of the exhaust can actually hit the undertray and the midpipe itself layed hard up against the rear subframe by the passenger footpeg mounting bracket. No amount of pushing or prodding was ever going to get my exhaust to line up correctly. That bend in the midpipe was simply at the wrong angle and that's all there was to it.

My buddy Pez built a jig on his welding table and we heated the midpipe at that bend and gently bent the pipe to soften the angle until we got the exhaust to line up properly and then measured the angle in the bend. Right now we're in the process of cutting out the section of pipe that we heated and we'll be welding in a new section of pipe with a much shallower bend angle.

According to their website Two Bros exhausts carry a limited 90 day warranty against defects in workmanship and/or materials. Since I purchased my exhaust about a year ago I'm fooked on the warranty but you might wanna contact them and send them your pics and explain to them the problem you're having with that midpipe. You might be right, maybe they just sent you the wrong midpipe.

For what it's worth Acerockola,I previously had a C/F Two Bros "Stash" exhaust system installed on my bike and it bolted right on with no hassles at all.

It looks like you have the canister mounted a little too far back, with respect to the clamp and the TBR logo.

Could have the wrong mid pipe though. Hope it helps.

hey guj, yeah i purposely mounted the can farther back so you can see how the mid pipe and can dont come close to lining up. the mid pipe hits the frame where the passenger pegs mount. by the way, how do you like the pipes, sound wise, looks ect.?
