Just had a question to ask you guys, you might have an answer. I have a 1986 VFR 750, if I leave the sidestand down and start moving I would think the bike should turn off. I know on other bike if you leave it down it kills the engine but on mine it does not. The manual tells me nothing. Is there a sidestand switch on this year VFR. I would think they would put one on for safety reasons. Have any Ideas? Any feedback would be appreciated.

CC18, I just went downstairs to look at mine to be sure, it does not have that safety switch. I have left mine down like a IDOT,(many times) and luckily for me it kicked up without undue drama, just a little embarrassment came my way. Hope this helps. Have fun!!!

A kick stand switch would mean added weight and another part to spend money on. I'm glad mine doesn't have one.

So that you're not wondering if Bruise Lee's was the only bike without, as he's the only person who responded, mine didn't either. The '86 was not packed with electronics like later years.
