Hello from Cincinnati

Hello everyone,
My name is Michael and I live on the eastern side of Cincinnati. I've been a big fan of the VFR for a while now and I've finally acquired one. Although I was hoping for a 5th gen or an anniversary 2007, I couldn't pass up the 2002 that I bought. So far I'm absolutely thrilled.

It's only appropriate that I join VFRW at this point. Other bikes in the stable are a 1976 CB750 and a 1974 TY250. I belong to SOHC as well, under the same screen name.

I'm 42 and I've been on bikes my entire life. They truly move the soul. I'm looking forward to what this site can offer and what I can offer in return.

Welcome, make yourself like at home. Any Gen is good Make sure the recall harness have been done on your bike. Ride safe keep the rubbers side down.

 

Thanks. As far as the recall harness goes... was the entire wiring harness replaced, or just the stator or rr portion? The bike has 48,000 well taken care of miles on it and the previous owner did tell me the wiring was updated because of stator problems. I saw the wiring. Yuck. I fixed the wiring. And the 30 amp fuse holders have been replaced. I tried doing some searches on this site, but so far, they've been too vague and the search engine isn't cooperating with me.

I'm still very happy with the bike, though.

Perfect. Thank you. I've done some more searching and have found some great info. Before it's all done, I will probably rewire the bike. I plan on keeping this one for a long time.

I didn't like Grove City. I moved away two weeks after I graduated and I haven't looked back since.

Well if you come back through sometime and I ever get this damn 500 roadworthy / get another street ride, we can go for a ride....
