My 2002 VFR produces popping noise when accelerating strongly in 1st or 2nd gear. When opening the throttle fast I get several pops sounding like a machine gun! I also get a very poor MPG of about 30. I removed my power commander and I still get the same type of mileage and popping. I checked the hose getting to the air box and they all look fine. However, when testing the bike without the air box, after several acceleration and after turning off the bike, some smoke came out of one of the cylinder head and some gas was around it. What can I do to fix that? Thank you
