Just trying to remove the rear pipes from my newly acquired old viffer and am having a bit of trouble moving anything! Have undone the clamps and tried a few different ways to pry them apart. I have now sprayed them with monkey spunk (penetrant) to try and loosen them up a bit. The bike had been shedded for quite some time before I bought it so I guess they are just corroded together a bit. Just wondering if there are any tips or tricks to get them apart? Any help will be appreciated. Cheers

I know it is probably the obvious, but you did unbolt the cannisters from the rear subframe at the rear pegs didn't you?

I got nothing but horror stories aboot fighting with gen 2 pipes. You can try to remove the front two head pipes and then a rubber hammer (a big fucker) ,beer, and patience. Good luck.

Thanks guys. Yep I did unbolt from the foot pegs and I left it overnight to see if they would just fall apart miraculously by themselves but no, just as stuck as yesterday. I will keep going with them today after I complete a few mandatory household chores as directed by the minister for war and finance.
