    Hi guys,

Trying to get my 02 VFR back in service after its winter sleep. Charged the battery and tried to start it. Starter turns over no problem but the engine won't catch. It started to catch for a couple of seconds during the third or fourth crank, now it won't catch after multiple attempts. I removed the plugs and cleaned them since I sprayed the cylinders with preservative last fall. Made no difference.

Any ideas before I shell out for new plugs?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Do you hear the fuel pump coming on when you turn the key? If she's cranking and wants to fire, sounds like fuel??

You can always spray a bit of starter fluid in the air box. If it does not start, then it's electrical. If it starts, then it's fuel related.

This problem won't be cured by new plugs if your bike was running fine b4 storage.
