I have been looking for alternative mirrors for the 1000R's. For authenticiry I have a NOS set put aside for the 84 model, but for the 85 model I need something better than stock. Has anyone used the original Honda ones from a 86 VFR750F? They seem to be the same shape but a slightly longer arm (I might see more than my elbows then).

Good luck, the R mirrors have that stalk mounting which isn't easy to find. I used some aftermarket mirrors that needed some machining to mount up. I'm not sure the '86 are the same mount?

I picked up a couple of NOS VFR750 mirrors on Saturday and they will fit fine- slight diff but ok to install. They do have at least an inch more sideways length. Will post some comparison pics soon.

Thanks for the photo captain. I looked at the vrf750 ones and the plastic aerodynamic shell looks to be the same part number (embossed underneath) as the 85 vf1000r euro ones.
