    Hey Everyone,
Just got my vfr1200f with side bags and so far I really enjoy the bike. I have a few questions on what all should I do to improve the ride and bike to better fit me.

    - 1. Should I go with Heli Bars or is there another alternative that is better for a 6'2" guy?

    - 2. Who makes the best kit to lower the pegs?

    - 3. Which windscreen provides the most protection?

    - 4. I have already ordered the Bazzaz bomb kit for 1st and 2nd gear, but what else should I do to improve performance and enhance the over all ride?

    - 5. Any other ideas please leave them.

    Thank you,
    Gregory T.

    Congrats.
I got pegs from Buel for my VFR800 RWB. Had to shave them little to feet. Best mod, can walk after 6 ours on the bike. I got GIVI windscreen and it make wind protection better, but I am 5'11". Still debating HeliBars.

I will post pics of my bike tonight.

I'm interested in those who have already done the leg work for me, to help make my vfr1200 as good as it can be.

I've looked at several slip on exhaust, and so far I really don't like the looks of any of them. I don't like the sound of the stock exhaust but I think it at least looks better on the bike than most of the slip on exhausts do. Any suggestions as far as looks and sound?

    Thanks

Yeah, I've read his review, and many others. Most I read before ever buying the vfr1200. I used to own a 2008 Concourse 14, and loved it, but wanted something new and different and the new connie wasn't different enough. So, I've spent a lot of time reading, and I have only found one guy talking about the heli bars. They look like they would fit me better, but the way they look on the bike really leaves something to be desired.

As far as peg relocation I've heard a few complaints, but I have not found a good solution yet.

The Akropovic exhaust is the best looking I have seen so far, and it would work with my luggage. Though I still like the oem look, but want the aftermarket sound.

I am really interested if the Honda adjustable windscreen is worth it, or if I should go with a givi or zero gravity windscreen. I always liked the connies electric windscreen, and would like to be able to have the wind in my face or have it blow mostly over my head. I'm hoping someone has had the Honda extra windscreen and can give me a review of it.

I ordered the bazzaz bomb kit for 1st and 2nd gear right away, I like the idea of having a switch which has been discussed on other blogs, but I'm not willing to mess with the wiring myself yet.

I'm really looking for anything to be able to out ride and last one of my friends who is bringing his new concourse 14 up at the end of the month, for a ride up to the dragons tale. I think the vfr1200 has a good hand already but I want to improve it. He has already done most of the upgrades to his connie.

Also does it add any benefit to remove the air injection system on the vfr1200. It did wonders for my 2008 FZ1. Not a pick of my vfr1200 but here what my fz1 looked like when I got finished with it, and a pic of my old connie.

Boy that FZ1 looks like a ticket waiting to happen. I'd probably lose my insurance if I had one of those. Be honest, how often did you wheelie it from the stoplight?

Yea, if I was in the market for another bike that FZ1 would be calling my name.

The FZ1 was nice, and I did about as much as I could to it with out changing any of the main parts. It could easily tote the front tire, but really was just a blast to ride down the road and weave down a few mountain curves.

Does anyone have the extra honda windscreen. I'm trying to decide between it, the givi wind screen or even one of the zero gravity windscreens. Not sure which would be the best, but I like the idea that the honda windscreen is adjustable. I want to have a lot of wind protection but also don't want it to ruin the ride.

    Thanks again.

One more question, Does the K&N filter do much for the bike?
