Been lurking for a long time. I pulled my 86 apart over the winter to swap the front end (it already had the wheel upgrade) and rear shock (it had an old hurricane 600 shock that was totally bagged). I've gone from F2 wheels to F3 while I was at it and know that I once saw something about using the clutch pushrod from a later VFR to put the speed sensor pickup and housing from a 3rd ten onto the 2nd. Does anyone know off the top of their head? I have a gauge set from a late model CBR600RR and the F3 forks are already on. The front came down a long way but I think it was already too high with the stock forks and the 17 inch F2 wheel :/.

I have a clutch pushrod coming from a 3rd gen already. If I am wrong I will order a 4th gen and so on. I have a pedal bike speedo if I get really desperate but I am hoping to avoid that. I am sure that I saw something from toecutter or sebspeed about a later model item used in a 1st gen without the front wheel speedo drive. I will sort it out eventually but I would love to benefit from the experience of others here. Aaron. It is Thursday and my wife has fed me a number of drinks but she assures me that my grammar is not too screwed up. Thanks!
