I'm not particular. I just don't want to spend over $200 if possible.

the carbs on this bike look like a royal pain. I did my cbr a few months ago just fine and I have little experience. I am just feeling ambitious and don't want to spend the $600 in LA to have honda do it.

I've never done the carbs on this bike. is there anything I should watch out for while removing them or will my shop manual guide me through it well enough (I've done carbs on other bikes).

Here is the definitive carb cleaning thread, compliments of TOE CUTTER.

As a rule of thumb, DO NOT seperate the carbs from the aluminum manifold. The plastic runners that carry gas between the carbs are extremely fragile to start with, and only get more brittle with age.

Is cleaning the jets good enough or should I replace them with new ones? I was surprised how easily the carbs came off with the filter plate. Almost too easy. I feel I got lucky.

I think one of my gaskets is a little leaky and now that I've pulled them apart I'm afraid the rest of them tore. So I will at least need float bowl gaskets and float needles. Any advice?

No need to replace jets IF they are clean !

Do a search here for the float bowl O-ring set of 4 from K&L Supply @ about $40. I forgot the kit number.....

High-mileage vaccum slide needles need inspection and replacement if wear is seen, but other parts only need replacement if they are leaking or damaged.

Odds are your needles and jets are perfectly fine and do not need replacing (unless you bent the needle somehow), plus people have had problems with the needles on Keyster kits on the CB750's if Keyster is what you are looking to buy.
You really just probably need to clean out the jets and float needle basket and the only thing you need to change are the o-rings- a 041 Viton o-ring will more than work for the float bowl gasket, you should be able to match up the other o-ring gaskets at you local o-ring shop save the air rail gasket- the SAE equivalent will not work there- you will need the metric o-ring there.

Jesus man, did you not listen- WE TOLD YOU NOT TO SEPARATE THE CAB BODIES FROM THE MANIFOLD UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAD TO.

You just made the job 2000% tougher- good luck and may the gods help you.

They are still connected to the manifold. I read all those caps on every other thread. I don't think I'll have a problem. I appreciate the help sincerely though, guys. What would I do without people like Dookiedook?

Without Dookie you'd be down on your knees looking for springs under your workbench.
