I searched first and couldn't find a good answer...

I want to give the Pirelli Sport Demon tires a try, but the closest rear size I can find is a 130/70-18. Would it be OK to run this with a 120/80-16 front? Any issues with mismatched aspect ratio front to rear, or slightly smaller aspect compared to the stock rear 130/80-18 (I think)?

    Thank you!

    I can't find a 140/80-18 rear. Options are:
    Rear (18 dia.):
    120/80
    120/90
    130/70
    140/70

    Front: (16 dia.)
    110/90
    120/80

Just for reference, anyone who might not know I think stock is Rear: 130/80-18 and Front:120/80-16

Are those options only with the Pirelli's or are you open to others? BT45's are an exceptional tire for those bikes.

Yes, those sizes are for the Pirelli's only - I'm open to other options though. I have the BT45s on there now, but I'm looking for the stickiest tire I can get for the bike. I just joy ride on it so I'm not so concerned with tire life.

the BT45 used to be available in a sport and a sport tour compound at one time.

I have a pair of Continentals "Conti-Gos" on my 750. Nice tires. Very predictable and they stick good. Check them out. Right sizes also.

I have a 130/70 rear and 120/80 front on my 86. Avon roadriders, love them and no noticeable difference in size from the stockers

I put Pirelli Sport Demons on my VF500 before I sold it... huuuge difference in handling! Now some of that may have come from the fact that someone put a rear tire that was way too big for the rim and that the tire was worn, but regardless, I noticed a big difference for the better. I thought they stuck exceptionally well!

Are those tire size options only from a particular seller, or those are the sizes listed that Pirelli manufacturers for the Sport Demons?

Those seem to be the only sizes offered by Pirelli, at least in the US. I opted for the 120/80-16 front and 130/70-18 rear. Will let everyone know how it works out, although it's been a while since I've ridden it and it might take me a while to get myself back up to speed.
