    Hello Everyone,

I've been lurking around her for the last couple of years since buying an '85 VF500V and I really appreciate all of the good information. Thanks!

Something that I've always found helpful in working on bikes is a parts manual with diagrams and names of parts and part numbers of and number of part x required but it doesn't seem like one exists for the Interceptor 500. Maybe I've just missed it?

In any case, since I couldn't find one I complied one and I'd like to make it freely available to everybody here. I see that somebody is hosting manuals and I would be glad to send it to him.

I can't guarantee that it is entirely accurate or that everything is listed but as people use it and find errors or omissions we can update and refine the manual. I am also working on Part 2 of the manual from the microfiche but that project is kind of a low priority right now.

Please let me know if there's any interest and I'll do what I can to make it available.

    Thanks again,

    John

Why would you need a parts manual for an imaginary bike that has yet to be seen in pics? LOL...Welcome aboard! Maybe send a PM to one of the mods to ask how to get a copy onto the server. Now lets see some pics of that miniceptor.

    Hi John,
There is a parts manual for the VF500; if you google a bit with the "Honda VF500F '84-86 Parts Catalog.pdf" you should be able to get it.
Alternatively online microfiche available in some parts seller sites can be of great help.
Nevertheless I would be interested for your compilation as well.

Well, if this worked, here's a pic of my Interceptor.

Blitzas, I'd be glad to send a pdf of the parts catalog to you directly while I figure out how to get it hosted somewhere.

Welcome! Nice to have another 500 owner here.

If I could ask, how many miles on the clock?

23,xxx and counting. It looks a little better in the pics than in real life and this pic is from before the garage motorcycle domino event late last fall. Which leads me to ask if there is any one with a decent tail fairing that they would like to sell. It seems like the tail is the piece that isn't being reproduced by anybody.

    These are NLA.

If looking for a new one you may want to put in a parts request with the team at David Silver Spares.

If looking for a used one to restore, I'd suggest checking out eBay. I have seen these come up from time to time for very reasonable pricing. The caveat will be the decals as you may need to purchase a complete kit.

I've heard good things about CB Decals. Link below:

Thanks for the link. I hadn't seen that place before and it's good to know that there's a source. I just got some decals for my wife's little Honda from xtreemedecals and they look pretty good but I don't think that they do a full set for the VF500F.
